CONVICT JULIE is an Alternative R&B artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Realizing at age six that music brought her an understanding of life and a resourceful coping mechanism, she taught herself how to play multiple instruments, later learning how to produce at the age of sixteen. Originally, she wanted to be a ghost-writer, but her mentor encouraged her to be an artist after hearing her music and singing style, which is most notably compared to The Weeknd and Alicia Keys.
Since releasing her first single “Devil’s Playground” in February 2019, she has released two EP’s and four singles. Since the Black Lives Matter movement has revamped in 2020, she has been using her music and platform to raise awareness, funds, and lead protests against racism and police brutality in her college town of Athens, GA.
