Classic City Lager Wins Gold for the second time at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival
Classic City Lager has taken the gold again! After winning a gold medal at the 2022 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition, we’re excited to share that we’ve done it again! During the festival’s awards ceremony earlier this month, we were awarded the top honor in the American Pilsner category for Classic City Lager, our year-round, easy-drinking lager. Presented by the Brewers Association, GABF is the nation’s largest commercial beer competition and recognizes the most outstanding beers produced in the United States.
Classic City Lager is a highly-drinkable lager brewed to be an uncomplicated go-to staple for everyone to enjoy. Clean and crispy, it’s approachable for those simply looking for an uncomplicated, Georgia-made lager and precisely crafted to satisfy even the longest-term craft beer aficionados. Our signature Good Cold Beer is available on draft and in 6-pack and 12-pack 12-ounce cans as well as 16-ounce and 19.2-ounce singles throughout Georgia.
We received our first GABF medal in 2014, just six months after we first opened our doors to the public, in the American-Style Brett Beer category for The Curious No. 2, an American Wild Ale. At the 2020 festival, we won a bronze medal in the Experimental Beer category for Get Artistic, a Berliner Weisse brewed with Sauvignon Blanc grape juice.
Medal winners were announced October 12 at the Great American Beer Festival awards ceremony held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. The 2022 GABF competition winners were selected by an international panel of hundreds of expert judges from thousands of entries. We are honored by this recognition from GABF. This achievement was made possible by our team, who works tirelessly to produce a quality beverage made for any occasion. So, to everyone who played a part in getting us here, thank you. You’ve helped turn Good Cold Beer into Good Gold Beer!
