Packaging Specialist I - Athens, GA

Based in Athens, GA

Position Purpose:

The Packaging Specialists supports Creature Comforts Brewing Co. in helping people navigate the beautiful and complex world of beer by executing at a high level of quality and contributing to a culture of safety as part of the Packaging Team.

Activities & Outcomes:

  1. Team Collaboration:
  • The Packaging Specialist will work in collaboration with the Packaging Team on day-to-day activities, operations, and problem-solving.
  1. Contributor to Culture:
  • Culture of Safety: The Packaging Specialist must be competent in CCBC’s Safety Policies and must advocate a culture of safety by following safety policies and encouraging peers to remain compliant with CCBC safety policies.
  • Solutions-Oriented Positivity: Maintains and promotes a positive outlook for the rest of the Packaging Team.
  • Culture of Self-Development and Leadership: The Packaging Specialist participates in and completes leadership development training assigned to the Packaging Team. They must build and maintain proficiencies in using the CCBC’s leadership program tools, concepts, and vocabulary.
  1. Skills and Competency Development:
  • Learn, understand, and maintain quality packaging initiatives.
  • Learn and maintain competency in safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Explore, connect, and learn about the craft beer industry.
  • Attend and learn about quality in craft beer through sensory class.
  • Obtain forklift certification with support from CCBC.
  • Develop technical aptitude on CCBC equipment.
  1. Perform with Excellence:
  • The Packaging Specialist must perform at a level of excellence with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • The Packaging Specialist must maintain finished goods and store finished goods neatly and safely in the cooler.
  • The Packaging Specialist must establish and maintain a basic understanding of timely communication tools such as e-mail.
  1. Time and Task Management:
  • The Packaging Specialist must remain flexible during production changes, whether the changes are foreseen or made with short notice.
  • The Packaging Specialist must report to their shift on time and follow company clock-punch policies and procedures.

Brand Marketing Manager - Athens, GA

POSITION PURPOSE

The Brand Marketing Manager will be the steward for the Creature Comforts Brewing Company’s core family of brands. This position is responsible for driving the development of core brands including collaboration on innovation, development of branding assets and permanent point of sale, and growing brands through the development of promotional campaigns and programming.

ACTIVITIES & OUTCOMES

  1. Build and develop campaigns for targeted consumers and cross-functional teams
    • Have an understanding of the various types of customers that are engaged in the three-tier system (our internal sales team and distributors, retailers, and consumers) and have the ability to manage three marketing campaigns quarterly.
    • Have the ability to present campaigns and programming vision to our internal sales teams six months ahead of the activation date and to deliver completed programming to our sales and distributor teams thirty days in advance of their launch. Successfully launch each of our 2023 trade marketing campaigns.
    • Develop brand messages, creative designs, and point of sale that attract consumers to our products.
    • Be a passionate representative of Creature Comforts. Bring energy and excitement to your team and the business relationships you engage with!
    • Participate in marketing events as needed, supporting the efforts of the overall marketing team.
  2. Understand and engage with our community of stakeholders
    • Engage with 100 retailers by 12.31.23 – a general goal to better understand the market landscape in which our business operates. Compare our products to competitors, learn tactics, and develop consumer insights from our B2B and B2C consumer segments. Ensure our programming is not only relevant but best in class, working in tandem with our sales team on these market visits.
    • Collaborate deeply with our commercial sales team and internal cross-functional teams, presenting campaigns and programming in monthly and quarterly meetings. Be notably present. If virtual, participate on camera and make your voice heard.
    • Maintain relationships with our community of stakeholders, work collaboratively with vendors and third-party agencies, and reach out to new and existing partners.
  3. Identify and project lead the development of content, focused primarily on market activation
    • Identify needs and manage trafficking for creative marketing activation content.
    • Maintain our digital asset manager (DAM) and provide training and support to the commercial sales team, cross-functional teams, third-party designers, and distributor teams.
    • Work collaboratively with our communication and digital teams to execute campaigns and programming including, but not limited to, featured content on the website, social content, blog posts, press releases, programmatic digital advertising, and social media advertising.
    • Maintain a catalog of point-of-sale items as items are developed
    • Identify market needs and develop programming through the analysis of data, trade experts, and various reporting tools.

Packaging Maintenance Manager

POSITION PURPOSE

The Packaging Maintenance Manager supports CCBC in helping people navigate the beautiful & complex world of beer by executing at a high level of quality and contributing to a culture of safety as part of the Maintenance Team.

ACTIVITIES & OUTCOMES

  1. Mechanical-focused Responsibilities
    • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must operate, change over, and maintain packaging equipment.
    • Troubleshoots by utilizing technical-focused deductive reasoning skills, with the purpose of discussing & identifying results for, and performing minor repairs and/or improvements on production equipment.
    • The Packaging Maintenance Manager must run a full CIP/SIP on related equipment.
    • Participates and collaborates with team leaders and peers in problem solving activities to determine root cause and close the loop on issues.
    • Capable of performing packaging operator and maintenance functions taking a hands-on approach whenever necessary
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems associated with high-speed packaging equipment
  1. Contributor to Culture:
    • Culture of Safety: Fosters a culture focused on making safety a priority, addressing potential safety hazards quickly and effectively.

      • Develops and updates packaging procedures, check sheets and communications to aid in the execution of daily activities.
      • Operates and monitors the production line to personal safety, beer quality, and asset efficiency.
      • Performs operations on all manufacturing equipment with a focus on efficiency and safety.
