Behind the Brew: Cosmik Debris

DIPA lovers: We’ve got your go-to beer! If you’re a longtime fan of Cosmik Debris, we heard your calls to make it year-round and you no longer have to wait for its seasonal return.

Whether you’re familiar with Cosmik Debris or exploring its deep flavor for the first time, we’re celebrating its addition to our year-round lineup by sharing everything you need to know—and then some—about this beloved DIPA.

If you caught our recent post about freshness, you know that hop flavor and aroma are delicate and diminish quickly. So, like Tropicália, we recommend drinking Cosmik Debris as fresh as possible.

“Cosmik Debris should always be kept cold and consumed as fresh as possible,” said Brewmaster Adam Beauchamp. “Allowing it to age would lessen the brilliant, fresh aroma that we worked to infuse into the beer.”

Did You Know?

Cosmik Debris features five hop varieties – Simcoe, Strata, Mosaic, Cascade, and Chinook.

Together, these hops develop a bursting aroma of citrus zest, melon, and subtle pine. Cosmik Debris’ hop aroma, combined with its firm bitterness and lighter malt character, creates a delicious and balanced flavor profile.

Like Tropicália, Cosmik Debris shares similar inspiration from classic California IPAs, but are adapted with a Southern sensibility.

Cosmik Debris is a great showcase of a classic American IPA hop, Simcoe, joining with new school IPA showstopper, Strata. Cosmik Debris has a mash-up of East meets West flavors – fruity, resinous, dank, and clean. It’s bold with hop flavors and has an intense hop aromatic quality.

Athens artist Kim Deakins designed the label depicting a cosmic scene with an explosion of hops.

We are so lucky to be a part of a vibrant community that’s home to many talented artists. We were thrilled to work with Kim Deakins on the Cosmik Debris can artwork. Learn more about Kim and her work, at pinkgoblintattoo.com/kim and on Instagram @koreanhammer.

Cosmik Debris is now available year-round from our taproom and Georgia markets! Look for it on draft and in cans at your local retailer or pay us a visit at the brewery.
